And although part of this view will be obscured by the military buildings, we can still get an idea of locations that will allow us to plan future visits—places such as the Canchos de las Sábanas in Berzocana or the Cancho del Reloj in Solana de Cabañas. Alternatively, one could begin the “Trans-Appalachian” geological route from here—a highly recommended excursion during the months of April and May, when the rockroses are in bloom.
