The Educational and Scientific Committee acts as an advisory body regarding the Geopark’s scientific and educational aspects; its members may provide input on or actively participate in activities such as:
- Promoting scientific studies aimed at enhancing or protecting the Geopark’s geological, natural, or cultural values, or fostering its social and economic development.
- Raising the Geopark’s scientific profile through publications, seminars, and scientific events.
- Ensuring the implementation of the Geopark’s educational project.
- Defining protection criteria for the Geopark and proposing the compilation of the geological heritage of Villuercas – Ibores – Jara.
