Geoconvivencia: a call to geoparks around the world.

“GEOCONVIVENCIA” “GEO-TEAMBUILDING DAY”.

It is a day when all the schools meet in one of the geopark’s villages to share fun and educational activities and experiences. The highlight is a presentation session on a heritage topic they’ve studied in class. The presentations are dramatized without the use of technology.

This year they did something special: a call to geoparks around the world:

Today, the Educative Centres, “the Geocentres” of the Villuercas-Ibores-Jara UNESCO Global Geopark are celebrating our Geo-teambuilding day.

We’ve gathered in Villar del Pedroso, with over 1,200 people including students, teachers, and volunteers. Our families and the geopark team are also participating and helping out.

Our goal is to share. To share the knowledge, culture, and science we’ve learned this school year.

But we are also aware of the difficult times we are experiencing globally.

So we want to extend the spirit of cooperation from this day to all geoparks around the world and invite you to exchange a message of friendship, peace, and understanding among all the cultures and territories with which our geopark collaborates.
