The 94 European Geoparks celebrate together the European Geoparks Week. A week specially dedicated to enjoy the heritage values that we house and to increase local awareness of that heritage, its conservation and the opportunities for sustainable development.
In a special way, the Spanish Geoparks launch a joint promotion and a common activity called «GEOPARQUE-ANDO» (a pun meaning «walking on the geopark»). In our case, it is a day of field work with the Scientific Committee that companies and interested individuals can attend.
The European Geoparks Week in Villuercas-Ibores-Jara takes place in advance, between April 22 and May 5, so as not to coincide with this year’s electoral calendar.
Once again, the geopark appreciates the involvement of the organizations of the territory when organizing the activities that appear in the program that can be accessed by clicking on the attached poster (only Spanish).
