Guadalupe 10th to 12th July 2017
The Geopark takes part in the II Edition of the Guadalupe Summer Courses for which it has proposed taking a look at the interpretation of heritage in relation to the world of education and tourism. Interpretation is a complex language with which we aim to reach the people whom we are addressing by involving them in what we are telling them. It has different methodologies, some of which are more graphic and others more oral based on a script or storytelling; different ones are used in the field of education and in that of tourism. The professional interchange which this course encourages is one of the network cooperation objectives which are among the raisons d’être of the World Geoparks of the UNESCO.
We have invited various world geoparks to share their experience with us, as you can see in the programme below. We are sure that the interchange methodology proposed will give you the possibility of interacting with them directly and acquiring, sharing, and analysing ideas which will be enriching for all.
The course has two ways of participating. If you wish to obtain the certificate offered by the University of Extremadura enrol at www.unex.es/verano
If you only wish to be an unregistered participant, enrol by using this form.

The subjects may be varied as follows: interpretation with educational purposes, with tourist purposes, panels, storytelling, guiding, publications and leaflets, interpretation centres, geosites, or geoitineraries. Each geopark will choose a subject and its table will deal quickly with mainly this theme. The participants may ask theoretical questions, if they are students, or practical ones in the sense of improving some of the resources on which they are currently working. Every half hour the groups change tables. The total session must not exceed two hours.
